2024 RSTA All Stars Meet Summary
We had a perfect summer day to close out the season with our RSTA All Star meet on Saturday, July 27th. Lake Newport pool hosted swimmers from all eight teams, each celebrating a different country, as they embraced this year’s Olympic theme. Our commemorative All Star T-shirts honored that theme as well, and were so popular that the online store has been reopened! Shop until Sunday, August 4th.
The league’s top swimmers in each dual meet event are invited to compete in the All Stars, but participation is limited to a maximum of two individual events and two relays. Congratulations to all the swimmers who took part and gave us some amazing moments – showing-off their hard work from all those practices by beating their personal bests. In addition to all the usual events, an exhibition swim at the end of the meet this year allowed each team to showcase their coaches’ talents and unique team spirit. What a fun way to close out the meet!
The South Lakes High School band ran the concession booth and kept friends, families, and fans well hydrated, caffeinated, and sugared so they could keep the cheers coming for all the great performances in the pool. The competition was tough, with many photo finishes and, of course, some more records falling:

The conclusion of the All Star meet brings our 2024 RSTA Summer Swim season to a close. Many thanks to our swimmers, coaches, families, and volunteers for another year of learning, teamwork, sportsmanship, friendship and fun. It takes all of us to create the wonderful community that is RSTA. We are grateful for the tradition continuing.
Enjoy the rest of your summer!
(And we'll probably still run into you poolside!)
