Announcing the 2025 Kim Klarman Award Recipient
Watch the video reveal by Kim’s daughters, Jillie and Michele, announcing the recipient of the 2025 Kim Klarman Award. It honors a member of the RSTA family who has had a positive impact on the league and the community at large with a commitment to long-term service. The award is presented each summer at the end-of-season RSTA All Star meet, where all eight of the swim teams in the RSTA league are represented and we celebrate the top swimmers in each event.
Kim Klarman was a manager for the Autumnwood Piranhas, who served on the RSTA Board of Directors for twelve years, chaired many of the most important RSTA committees, and was RSTA President from 2008 until her untimely passing due to cancer in February of 2012. For eighteen years Kim was associated in some way with RSTA. In honor of her devotion to RSTA, the Board of Directors established "The Kim Klarman Award” to recognize a current RSTA member who exhibits a similar level of engagement. As part of the award, the league will donate $250 to a charity of the recipient’s choice.
This year’s recipient is someone whose name has become nearly synonymous with excellence in leadership and service at RSTA. Congratulations to Lisa Fritz from Lake Audubon!
As her youngest of three graduates out of the league this year, we’re not just celebrating Lisa’s remarkable years of service, we’re honoring a family legacy. Thanks also to the contributions of the whole family, and also husband Jeff who served as computer coordinator for 14 years, and even is supporting us with this role today.
Lisa, thank you for being the calm in our storms, the brain behind our systems, and the heart behind so much of what makes this league and our team thrive. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition.
