We had a perfect summer day to close out the season with our RSTA All Star meet on Saturday, July 27th. Lake Newport pool hosted swimmers from all eight teams, each celebrating a different country, as they embraced this year’s Olympic theme. Believe it! We waited out the stormy weather and had a great IM meet on Wednesday, July 17th. Over 300 brave swimmers from among the eight RSTA teams demonstrated their mastery of all four strokes by competing in the 100 Meter Individual Medley. Each competitor had to swim 25 meters of each stroke: butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle. It’s a long way to go, but our RSTA kids are always up for a challenge. 2021 Kevin Coffey Spirit Award Recipients RSTA presents the Kevin Coffey Spirit Award annually to a swimmer (or swimmers) on each team who participates regularly in practices and meets and who has exhibited exceptional team spirit, sportsmanship, reliability, and dedication to RSTA's goal of providing a positive swim experience for all swimmers.
